We are a proposed CBSE school, one of its kind, not only in Chhattisgarh, but the whole of India. The Welfare Society of the Police Department, under the able leadership and guidance of the Director General of Police, set up this school. The vision is a lofty one. Educating children, when they know the stakes, takes a different mode. The Police Department has entered this arena, knowing fully well, that it takes a different type of courage to venture into the field of education.
We strongly advocate integrity. Each person in the school is free to voice his or her opinions. We practise kindness and respect. Protocol is maintained always. Open communication exists between parents and school. We celebrate personal achievements and good behaviour. Our school maintains cleanliness and the physical environment is kept in order. Every one participates in all the activities. Training is another feature which adds value to the people and culture.
The person who made sure that the department doesn’t have to worry about the day to day working of the school by getting the right people at the right places is our President, the Inspector General of Police, Dr. Anand Chhabra Sir.
He believes in the power of an educated mind. He himself has put in years of studies to reach where he is today. He is a doctor and an IPS. Not one to shy away from hard work, he takes interest in the matters of the school and understands the daily working through the people assigned to look into school matters.
He welcomes parents to send their children to one of the safest places in which they will learn the lessons needed to stand up and lead in life.
Arif Shaikh Hussain Sir, SSP, Raipur, strongly advocates preparation when one reaches a certain position and time in life. It could be a speech at a public function. One needs to be ready to hold public attention. When people listen, one can put across the rights and wrongs of anything. He belongs to the school of thought which says that children should be left to be themselves and the school should provide that freedom so they can explore and understand what they are good at.
An engineer by profession, Arif Sir chose to serve the nation through policing. He is proud of the fact that there was no compulsion in his life to choose a certain profession. He assures parents that children will reach that stage where they needn’t be pushed to study and they will realize it themselves that studies will help them gain all the name and fame.
With his presence in Police Public School, Raipur, he ensures that the children are aware of what is happening around them and also to question the why of things. He says that even while watching a movie, one should not stop learning. And that things and scenes can be related and applied to in life.
He is all praise for PPS and hopes that more parents entrust their children with the school. From his side, it’s a thumbs up and many years of happy schooling!
Police Public School, Raipur wouldn’t have looked the way it is if Shri. Jitendra Shukla Sir, SP (Mahasamund), had not set foot into the building. He dirtied his hands and bathed and cleaned it and is making sure day in and day out that the school gets what it needs. He has answered questions, borne the wrath of the parents, took accolades and setbacks in his stride and moved forward in his usual calm demeanor.
A thorough family man, with a beautiful family, he is of the opinion that parents have to give time and responsibility to their children, take them into confidence and allow them to commit mistakes and learn from them. Parents have to do their part at home and teachers have to do their part in the school.
He invites parents to trust the school and to send their children to study at Police Public School. He says it confidently as he had selected most of the teachers and his acumen related with people is excellent. He wants the best in the school and also to be provided from the school. He says that this initiative of the Chhattisgarh Police Department should not lack in anything.
He extends a warm welcome to the parents of Raipur.
